I know, this is an odd thing to find in a blog about mathematical skills, or any blog with educational messages. However, having said that, I think we would be amiss to not address watching television or other media. Children of a very young age should not watch a lot of television, if any until the age of about two years old. However, it is likely that children will watch television or media of some kind starting at a very young age. Knowing this, it is important to make sure we keep track of what our young children are watching. If we do let our children watch television at a young age we should try to make the shows educational. Shows like Seasame Street, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Word World, Numberblocks, or Little Einsteins.
